Energetic fans wait for Oprah's arrival and the start of another show in
Amarillo. Shows were taped daily at the "Little Theater".
Director Joseph Terry is flanked by two
of the hardest workers on the crew. On the
right is Technical Director, Annette Deshotel. And,
on the left is Associate Director Sally Jo Connor.
Crew from left to right are Chris Parris, Don Wilson,
Craig Johnson and Ed Wilson. In addition to keeping all the
equipment in perfect working condition, they had to put up
with "sub-freezing" weather and long...LONG hours.
Chris Parris found shoveling snow off of
the steps easy compared to maintaining the
7 cameras, 14 tape machines, two downlink systems,
graphics, and digital effects systems used for the shoot.
10 recorders and an off-line
edit system were squeezed into the trucks racks.
