Live from Panama

We supplied all video and audio technical support to include cameras, audio systems, and additional signal acquisition for the entire project which originated from the Panamanian Rain Forest. Transportable FlyPacks were used for on site switching of audio and video elements originating from a roving 6 camera studio a mile inland on the Panamanian island of Barro Colorado in the middle of Lake Gatun. As the video shows, our  crews laid several miles of cable across the tropical rain forest floor.

In addition, we supplied the television production system in Dallas, Texas, for the integration and retransmission of the broadcast.

The 11 day program highlighted a year long educational curriculum for middle school age students. It was funded by museums and school systems worldwide. These museum and school downlink sites were able to do two way video and audio Q&A with scientist at the Rain Forest sites. Many of the on air presenters were students.
